In practice since 1974, Steve Adelstein is an honors graduate of Western Washington University and earned his law degree from Gonzaga University. He is dedicated to community service, having served on numerous community boards and committees, including, most recently, the Whatcom Volunteer Center. Steve is an experienced litigator and a member of the American Trial Lawyers and Washington State Trial Lawyers Associations. He focuses his practice on commercial and construction litigation, personal injury cases, wills and probate.

Named by his peers as a Super Lawyer in a Washington Law & Politics survey in 2000, Phil Sharpe's 28-year career has included serving as special counsel to the United States Senate Labor Committee and general counsel to U.S. Senator Brock Adams. Phil is a graduate of Washington State University and the University of Colorado School of Law. Phil's community spirit shines through whether he's serving on the Whatcom Community College board of trustees, chairing a school bond campaign or raising funds for local causes and charities. His practice focuses on business and real estate law.

In practice since 1976, Philip Serka is a graduate of the University of Washington and earned a law degree at Seattle University. Phil furthers his commitment to his community through serving in leadership positions with numerous organizations, including the Arthritis Foundation, North Coast Credit Union and Bellingham/Whatcom County Chamber of Commerce. Phil is an experienced attorney focusing his practice on business, real estate and land use, and has been a speaker at both state and local seminars on land use law and real estate.

After practicing at Davis Wright Tremaine in Seattle for four years, Jeff Fairchild joined the firm in 1993 and became a partner in 1996. Jeff is a graduate of Duke University and Washington University School of Law. He is involved in a wide range of community organizations, including Law Advocates, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Mount Baker American Red Cross and Bellingham Sunrise Rotary. Jeff is a regular speaker on employment law issues and provides employers with both preventive counseling and litigation support in the defense of wrongful termination, discrimination and other employment claims.

A Lynden native, Mitch Faber returned to Whatcom County after law school and joined the firm in 2001. Mitch is a graduate of the University of Washington and received his law degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law. His commitment to the community is evidenced by his service in a leadership position in his church and through involvement with local school activities. Mitch is focusing his practice primarily on transactional work in the fields of business and real estate law.

Marie N. Gallagher graduated Cum Laude from the Seattle University School of Law. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice and sociology with a minor in business from Washington State University. Her experience includes serving as a Judicial Clerk for The Honorable Anita L. Farris, Snohomish County Superior Court Judge, and working as a Judicial Extern for The Honorable Steven Gaffin at the Equal Opportunity Council in Seattle. She also worked as a Law Clerk in the Starbucks Law and Corporate Affairs department. Her practice will focus on employment law and commercial litigation.
